Helpful/Handy Tip of the Day - 2/5/10

Postby SaddleUpGang » February 5th, 2010, 7:54 am

Many of us horse owners who work for a living know how time consuming the morning feeding chores can be. I always like to plan ahead for the next morning's feeding by getting ready for it the night before. Immediately after your evening feeding, pre-measure your grain and supplements in coffee cans and leave them in your feed barrel. Place the required number of hay flakes beside the stall door.

When the morning feeding rolls around, you simply grab the cans and dump them in the feed bin and toss the hay in. No muss, no fuss, and you're done before you know it.
